Hidden Gems #4 - Stranded Pearl by Giant Sand

We like americana. Giant Sand hail from Tucson, Arizona. Howe Gelb is a gifted singer and songwriter and his songs should grace your record or MP3 collection and spotify playlist. Stranded Pearl from their 2008 LP, Provision, is a wonderful slow and brooding song. Howe is joined on vocal duties by Isobel Campbell. It's well worth a listen and no doubt you'll continue to return to it for it's wry humour and bleak desert tones.
